Students of Faculty of Animal Husbandry University of Brawijaya (Fapet UB) grab three awards in the category of Agriculture at event named 27th Asian Young Inventors Exhibition (AYIE) 2016. They are Gusti Ayu Putu M (2014), Moh. Ihwan Julianto (2013), Zaenal Abidin (2013) and Bagus Ardiani (2013). Through the event which convened in three days (12-14/May/2016) at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Malaysia, they grab Gold Medals AYIE 2016, Special Award from Japan named International Intellectual Property Network Forum (IIPNF) and Special Award to the Best Invention from Iran so-called First Institute Researchers and Inventor in Iran.

 
AYIE is an event held by C.I.S. Network Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia and followed by dozens od innovators from various countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Arab Saudi, South Korea, Singapore, the Philipinnes, Iran, Iraq, Oman, USA, Yemen, Poland, Taiwan, Russia, and also Indonesia. The team which is also a member of Student Scientific Group (Kelompok Ilmiah Mahasiswa/KIM) Faculty of Animal Husbandry University of Brawijaya by lifted a title NEO-FIT (Curcuma Natural Supplement): Bioactive Supplement for Broiler Chickens”.

 
NEO-FIT is a natural bioactive supplement for broiler chicken, with natural ingredient like turmeric which contains curcumanoid and probiotic additional, thus the product can increase appetite in broiler chicken. Under the supervision of Dr. Ir. Osfar Sjofjan, M.Sc, the idea of making product-innovation is due to the increasing numbers of antibiotic which used in broiler farming. While negative effect on synthetic drug is leads to residual in meat which is harmful for consumers.
