Victoria University Wants to Help UB’s International Journal Publication to be More Qualified

The delegates of Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, including Prof. Ron Adams and Prof. Helen Borland visited University of Brawijaya (UB) to give writing strategy and the way of international journal publications either lecturers or doctoral students to be more qualified. The two things packed in a workshop titled “Strategies for Successfully Completing Doctoral Research and International Journal Publishing”, Monday (25/Apr/2016) at courtroom 8th floor of UB’s main building.


Before presenting materials in the workshop, the two Victoria University professors met by UB’s Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS in his office. The meeting discussed about the possibility of international journal publishing for lecturers and doctoral students since international journal publication numbers will influence scoring in higher education accreditation.


Bisri mentioned in the meeting that lecturers or doctoral students of each faculty who really potential of their research immediately pushed to be published as soon as possible.


“By the workshop, not only affects temporary but would be followed up in a long term with Victoria University so that the potential of students and lecturers in UB intend to depart to Melbourne to join in international journal publication training and so our ratings will rise either nationally or internationally,” said Bisri.


In the workshop that followed by 100 participants that consists of Head of Study Program, doctoral supervisors and doctoral students, Prof. Ron and Prof. Helen gave presentation about strategy to reach success in international journal publishing since this regard is a graduation requirement in pursuing doctoral program.
